Commissioned by the Hertfordshire Integrated Health and Commissioning Team, Resolving Chaos supported the authority's multi-agency response to improving mental health crisis care.
Working with Kaleidoscope London, Resolving Chaos undertook wide ranging stakeholder interviews in order to improve pathways and responses to crises.
Economic analysis of individuals' different forms of crises were collated to make a case for providing effective, often preventative support; as well as updating the Concordat Action Plan for submission to NHS England.
This work was presented to a meeting of key agencies late September 2015, where the report's recommendations, economic findings and action plan were all agreed.
Integrated Health and Care Commissioning manager Loraine Rossati said: "We commissioned the partnership of Resolving Chaos and Kaleidoscope London to deliver a mental health crisis care pathway mapping and improvement project for us, to support our Crisis Care Concordat partnership. They took a whole system approach, engaged a diverse range of stakeholders, and presented to opinion formers in the County. Their final presentation and report to our Crisis Care Concordat Partnership Group gave clear conclusions and challenging recommendations for commissioners to take forward. The project was delivered in just two and a half months within a tight budget, and yet its outcomes were even better than we expected."
It follows similar work in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey on their Crisis Care Concordat plans and shows that Resolving Chaos is able to develop plans in urban and rural areas with different challenges.
